Believe it or not this is the best shot I got.  Hadley looks like she's pooping, Maddie and Zaide (shockingly) are not looking at the camera, and Allie looks like she got into a fight with her pillow and lost. Oh, and Baba is hiding.

These two are totally addicted to the iPad.  Allie more than Maddie. Anytime I can't find Allie I can almost always find her upstairs reading Nook books.  Unfortunately they have also figured out the Netflix app and are always sneaking away to watch Caillou.

We have had a sick chicken that Maddie has been nursing back to health. Unfortunately that meant that "Allie" (the chicken) spent a few nights inside and has gotten a lot of coddling. Maddie loves when her ladies come inside. She thinks it's hilarious. The other night she kept trying to put the chicken on the kitchen table to which kip adamantly insisted that that was not okay. After several attempts and several denials Maddie finally came to her own conclusion.

Kip: Maddie, please do not put your chicken on the table.
Maddie: If a chicken is on the table does that mean it's dinner?

Zaide's 25th birthday party. A fun night...if you don't count having to hang out with the four trolls.  Just kidding.  They figured their lives out after they ate some very delicious dinner and *perfect* rice krispie treats.  Thank you Prentice Family for hosting.  Thank you Zaide for taking the kiddos on a much needed walk. Happy belated birthday!!

A little convo:

Kip and Maddie were downstairs in the basement watching TV.  Maddie's newest obsession/fear is robots.  Kip has a little space heater in his theater that one might creatively view as a robot. There have been many a discussion about it and it's robot status.

M: Dad is that a robot?
K: Yes
M: Is it a robot that just puts out heat?
K: Do you mean does it eat kids?
M: Maddie stopped, put her hands on her hips and said :Dad, this is not a time for jokes. We are talking about robots.


Another morning after coming into my room:


M: Mama, why do I always get these crumbs in my nose after I sleep?

Zaide took the ladies to a movie and ice cream today. I'm totally starting to get why people let grandparents raise their kids. They have way more energy, they're way nicer, and way more patient.

Too bad for my girls...they're stuck with me and they're going to go to bed early tonight.

Maddie has exclaimed about 5000 times today that she LOVES the sun. I agree. It makes us all so happy to be outside playing in this beautiful weather.
