DIY

Don't you hate it when really crafty people say, "Oh, it's so easy! You can do it." ? I do.  It's not freaking easy.  It's hard. And when I do it, it looks like homemade crap that your mom has to say she likes but even then you can see that she's struggling to keep a straight face.

I think I may have found a winner here.  We got a new mattress, which I just realized is the first mattress I've ever purchased on my own.  Welcome to your 30s Lis!  Anyhow, we went for the King because I am so tired of being the meat of Kip and Maddie's sandwich.  She's not going to stop coming into our room at night and if anyone disagrees you can Kip can go and try your logic out on her and see how well it works.  So, now I actually have room to move a few inches at night.  And I'm not stuck between two sweaty bodies. And I made a DIY craft (with Kip's help) that actually looks pretty nice if I do say so myself.

that looks great! No one will have to smother laughter w that headboard. BTW it doesn't matter how big your bed is. The mom ALWAYS ends up on the very edge or smashed between 2 sweaty sleepers.

I don't know what a DIY craft is but that whole thing looks beautiful. NOW you have to keep your bed made!! Can't wait to see it in person.

It is! I bought the comforter but mine didn't look
Like the pillow. At all. Maybe I should try again. I was so disappointed. I've been lusting after a very similar set from
Anthro but it's kind of crazy $$. When I saw that I was sooo excited. Google DIY upholstered headboard. It really wasn't bad.

Wow! Can you come do mine now? We've been talking about decorating our room for 3 years now but so far it's just builders paint. Love this, nice work!
