hiking, swimming, flying and Fourth of July-ing

One of our bucket list items was going on a hike and finding a waterfall. Last week we made it happen. Except the waterfall is definitely seasonal and it's definitely been sunny and hot for awhile now.

On the Fourth of July we went to see Pofo. We watched a very competitive co-ed softball match and walked to frozen yogurt. After that we went to Uncle Chris' and Aunt Sophia's. Peter predicted the kids would swim for two hours. They swam for five.

We went to the airport to watch the Renton fireworks.

Allie insists this was a long blink.

On Wednesday we flew to Roche.

The flowers are blooming and it is gorgeous up there.
We took a taxi to check out a piece of property that I've been eyeing for a bit. It looks north at Spiden Island and is so beautiful and relaxing.

We then followed that up with a swim at the Roche pool.

Thursday we went to the Rainier pool and then over to Nonna's for a failed attempt at innertubing. (I tied the rope on poorly and the kids' faces were getting splashed)

But they were more than happy to stay and play on the diving board. Allie was entertaining everyone with her belly flops.

And Dante with his diving and flips.
