Dress up

I'm not sure but I think Mads might need some dress up clothes in a little bit larger size v

Pike place market

With Nonna means yummy fruit, flowers when they're in season and a toy. They LOVE the market with Nonna.

Our week

Was crazy. Cousin Ethan was born on 11/12/13. Aunt Sonja and Uncle Sam hung out with the girls while I was at the hospital-receiving a very special invite to be there for Ethan's arrival.

The girls love hanging at Nonna's and playing with her iPad. I normally hear Allie ask for it just as I'm getting ready to leave. She's getting smarter and sneakier, knowing that I restrict their access more than Nonna does.

Thursday night we had ice cream night in maddie's class. They're getting a new teacher so it was a nice way to get to know her.

And Maddie LOVES to make signs.

After spending Friday night with Nonna and waking up for the day at three o'clock AM on Saturday the girls were both in dire need of naps. I've been finding maddie in some interesting places on her bed lately.

And finally a little Saturday afternoon fro-yo treat.

Maddie''s gift: A "ticket" to tutta bella and babysitting.  Along with her favorite stuffed animal.

Dear Ethan I love you.   Allie

Rainier Beach Pool

Construction is finally complete on our local pool so the girls and I went to check it out yesterday. It was fantastic. And thankfully SUPER warm. They have one hour slots for the spray zone which was perfect for me. I didn't have to be the bad guy dragging the girls out of the pool. One hour is just enough time for me to drag the girls around the lazy river and the whirlpool (aka world pool).

And we followed our swim up with dinner at Nonna's (I think I made dinner once this week)

Maddie grabbed ahold of my camera:

Husky or chihuahua?

I kind of want to go back and buy these hats after looking at these pictures. Allie for some reason was convinced they were chihuahuas. Don't ask...no clue.

Of course both girls begged for books (we were at the U Bookstore) and how do you really say no to a book? So they asked and received and we stayed out a bit past their bedtimes.

Allie and Maddie still love writing on the chalkboard. Allie asks for help with letters, Maddie obliges and then gets screamed at for writing them on Allie's side of the board.

Saturday night we capped off with a swim with friends at the Bellevue Club. They had a giant inflatable toy to play on but both girls wanted only to play in the "bath" as Allie called it.
