Danger Baby

Madeline, the wild child, is not one to be trusted sitting in the tub. Fortunately her head is just below the water spout. I think I might buy some of that pipe wrap to slap onto it so she can't wack her head too hard.

she IS danger island! They make some sort of cute foam/rubber thing that you can put over your faucet that prevents the head bonk (though that is really part of the whole childhood injury exp--or scraping your back on the faucet if you have to share the tubby with a mean little sister who wants to kick you or something)

I agree, it's part of the whole tubby experience. The other day Hads wacked her head on the little drain up/down thing...and boy did it leave an indent (and was bright purple), but by the time we put her down, not a mark (okay a little red bump, but nothing crazy). Forget the foam...keep her tough!

I'm voting for go with the foam. I am cringing just thinking about the back scrape.

spoken like a sister who has experienced one (in the yellow/girl's bathroom!)

Get the foam duck for the faucet for God's sake! Poor little skinny thing looks like she's going down the drain!

The back scratch did make me cringe too. Get the foam.

Back scratch is prob better than cutting your dog's ear off with scissors like I did today. (not really but I did cut her and I feel HORRIBLE)

Was she getting a haircut? Keep away from Mads!

I was trying to cut out a dread lock and I just got too close. Ack, I am horrible.

Just so that you know Lis - we got Hope every device (plastic ducky, cute dinosaur, even some jimmy rigged pipe insulator (invention Kip?) and whatever it was that went on the spout - it would entice her more to figure out a way to get it right off - all the while pushing and pulling and slipping and sliding closer and closer to the metal spout of pain. :) I'm hoping a few scrapes and scratches only make us stronger!

oh Lis - glad to see you were practicing the haircut techniques on the dog - will make it SO much easier when you nick Mad's ear some day - and they REALLY bleed! Just kidding . . .

No you aren't. Besides, if 7-year-old Cara can give Katie a haircut, you can too. And there's no way you'll do a more tramatic haircut on Maddie then poor Josh did on Tate.

oh no! the BEST haircut was Koo-Koo when she was 2 - and looked like she just had brain surgery - right before Santy photos!

I've seen kids after brain surgery and Koo-Koo looked worse! Prolly one of the best Santy pics ever.

I dunno. Cara's haircut of KT was really terrible. She cut the entire back part of her long hair right up to the scalp, then made poor Pofy wear a hood so I wouldn't 'notice'. And the girl has had straight hair ever since!
