Oregon

Ever since our "car camping" (RV) trip to Oregon last mid-winter break the kids have been asking about going back.  We avoided the car camping (thank god) and ended up at Salishan, which I hear has an awesome golf course.  I can vouch for the pool. And that the hotel gym had windows looking out at the pool so that I could be a semi-responsible parent and make sure the kids weren't drowning (each other).

For example, this ball. Everyone looks so happy. take note of the woman in the background, she's not so happy.  This ball could turn a game of monkey in the middle into a full blown wrestling/punching match.

This ball also had those powers.

Salishan is also known for it's gorgeous spa.  Peter handled the spa services on the golf course.  A pop-able zit is a dream come true for him.

Maddie brought her awesome polaroid camera.  It had one picture left in it and no spare film.

The ocean waves were HUGE and terrifying at this beach.  The kids were in heaven.  I was anxious the entire time.

Shockingly, this one didn't want to make the walk back.  Her shoes had sand.

Day two at the beach was sunnier, and the tide was a little further out.

And we didn't lose any children. So, WIN!

The trip was really a lot of fun and the kids had a blast which is what matters.  Thank you to Peter for planning it all.

Looks like a great time was had by all at the beach. Summer vacations have lasting memories. I love listening to recollections of past adventures.
