And still giggles every time I say it. 

Maddie's spread was a hit. So was cereal with a princess castle candle. 

Swim meet

Maddie was totally anxious about this swim meet. She threatened to not swim and after trying every calming technique I could think of I finally said "fine, you need to tell your coaches yourself."

Yeah...she walked in, found her coach and immediately said "I'm out."

Fortunately Coach Jenn talked her off the ledge and we had another fun four hours watching her swim.

Birthday Bash

On the Eve of Five

Baby Pal,

On your last night of being four you held strong to your ways, refusing to eat dinner because everything was the wrong color. After some tears that not eating zuchini and bell peppers meant no dessert you quickly decided to stick to your guns. And then promptly fell asleep at 7:00 after hoisting 3000 stuffed animals into bed with you. 

I can't wait to see your five year old face tomorrow when you see the spread Maddie put out for you. She is very excited to start the celebrations. So am I. You are my favorite five year old, princess loving, vegetable hating, little girl. Sweet dreams.

Swimmer

Aunt Sonja and Nonna represented our family at this swim meet and Maddie couldn't have been happier. She took home 1st in crawl stroke and 5th in back. Thank you for being there!
