On Sunday we flew to Anacortes and met up with Ursula, the woman who adopted Buddy. We walked down to the beach with the dogs.Kip showed Madeline how to hunt for crabs and she loved it. After leaving Buddy we drove to LaConner and bought a cute little onesie with words on it (sorry K.C.) from Bunnies by the Bay.

I must say, if you ease her into the water Madeline quite enjoys swimming. It's still a tad cold though.

Next time I'll take back up

I went with Madeline to the aquarium on Thursday. This is the only picture I got. It was the first time she'd been there since walking. Maybe I should say the first time she'd been there since RUNNING b/c that's all we did. That and say hi to this old lady. Apparently she is not shy.

Weekend In Snoqualmie

Originally we planned on going up on the boat this weekend but the crazy electrical storms prevented that. On Sunday we called up Baba and Zaide and headed over to the cabin. Instead of driving we thought it would be more fun to fly over so that we did. Here is Kip preflighting the airplane.

The ol' timer trick. I set my camera on a tractor tire and then ran to take the shot. Normally when I do this all you see is Jilly's tail b/c she chases after me. We've gotten smarter in our old age and Kip now HOLDs her. What a novel concept!

It had been awhile since we'd taken Madeline flying so she was a little unsure at first. True to her ways though she fell asleep 5 min. later. After we got home she couldn't stop pointing at airplanes in the sky. It was pretty cute if I do say so myself.

Playing at the lake

Spin/ Skip the first 1.20 of this

On 6.30.08 I went flying with another instructor from BEFA. He needed some videos of a spin for a seminar he was putting on. I got to go up. Here's a video of the spin. I'm not normally Miss Brave when it comes to this stuff and I don't especially like spins but for once I didn't get really airsick! At the end we did a loop and hammer head which was much to my surprise, SO FUN! Plus, I coudn't live down NOT doing it. I went up with him once before & Kip never let me live down my wussiness that I didn't do the loop.
