Bathtub series

I need to document Allie's bathtub animal arrangements. She is so meticulous with their placement. 

What did we do before youtube?

Mid winter break

We stayed at a cabin near Mt. Baker for mid-winter break this year. The kids were beyond excited to have a hot tub. They literally woke up every morning and got in. 

We basically had the mountain to ourselves. Allie spent the majority of the time with me with the exception of one 1.5 hour private lesson which was a game changer. We went from skiing with a harness and crashing every few feet to consistently turning both directions and skiing blue square runs. 

Stone :

The kids got comfortable enough with the mountain that they'd take laps on their own.

And this one came home and took a two hour nap. 

Horses

Of course the girls, mostly Maddie, are obsessed with horses. We went to go and check out a barn that offers lessons (um, holy time commitment, it's 45 min each way). Maddie is ready to sign on the dotted line. 

A little coffee, a little basketball

We let the kids run around on rainier. You know, the epitome of good parenting. 

Dante is obsessed with any and all sports and gets himself, unabashedly, as close as possible. 

Substitute teacher

Allie had a "really bad day" yesterday because her guest teacher was mean. It devolved from there. She got super pissed at me when I asked her to do her Kumon. She was furiously scribbling a note and asked me how to spell "even". I didn't think anything of it until I found this gem later. 

After school date

Of course Madeline was OBSESSED with these two geese. They were huge, with GIGANTIC tongues, and as Allie pointed out, teeth. No thanks.
