Who does this look like?

I love seeing her self-portraits. She and I are competing on number SPs on my phone. Two peas in a pod.

After walking away from her she announced "mama, I'm going poop!" I ran over and she said "just kidding mama"

She has my number.

Tulla Bella/Tuna Bella for dinner.
Zoo for dessert. Allie picked her own shoes so she walked around the zoo barefoot...typical Davis children garb. It's 8:15 and I'm ready for bed. Thank you zaide and baba!

For your planning purposes:

Maddie would like a horse or cow for her birthday/christmas. Clothes and shoes are no longer being accepted.

Allie has been wanting to review acceptable vs unacceptable language lately. Today while she and I were taking a shower she looked up at me and said "mama, is it ok if I say oh dammit"? Except with her toddler accent it sounds like "oh DeAmit" which is really hard not to laugh at.

On Saturday while on a timeout that someone forgot to release her from she was found with her nose against the wall SLEEPING.

After waiting since October when Auntie Megan sent a Halloween fun package Maddie finally worked up the courage to put in her purple teeth today. Always at her own pace...

Pre-K Celebration

Last Wednesday Maddie's class had their pre-k celebration ceremony. Nonna, Hadley, Carson and Zaide all came to watch, and Maddie couldn't have been more pleased to see her fan club in attendance.

The kids all made their own caps. Maddie's stayed on for about half a second.

Bossy Betty was very helpful with Carson's cupcake

Bossy Betty Sr. was very helpful with the bounce toy

Sunday's races were so much fun to see. Lolo Jones qualified for the Olympics in a very exciting race and Ashton Eaton set a world record for the decathlon. Bruce Jenner was there to congratulate him. I wonder if KK came along. The flight down was icy and not that much fun. The flight home was amazing. Seeing the sunset out over the ocean, the city skyline all lot up...it was just gorgeous. I'm happy to be home today spending time with my girls though.

Track town USA.
Olympic track and field trials.
Totally awesome except for the torrential downpour. Tomorrow I wear boots. Wet jeans for multiple hours is no good.

Another filler picture until our Internet starts working again. I flew down to Portland again today. Mt. St. Helens was gorgeous.

I have real pics on my camera but for now, some pre-k celebratory balloons and cupcakes from Nonna via the iPhone. Thank you to Zaide, Hadley, Carson and Nonna for attending the festivities. Maddie was so so so so happy.

We went to a real farm today. Maddie did not want to leave. We dropped $80 on four more tragedies in waiting. Keep your fingers crossed for us. Coop has been bleached and new bedding down, the girls have been instructed to always stay with their ladies and I'm hopeful that one of these days each and every one of my faithful blog readers will get a $60 per dozen eggs.

We did it. 0600 wheels were up to fly down to Portland for the Spartan race. It was a 5K but with a lot of hills, a lot of mud, a lot of carrying heavy crap, a lot of tall walls to clear yourself over, a really high cargo net to climb and a plethora of other obstacles that made me want to cry. It was a blast. I need a manicure and pedicure to get the embedded dirt out of my fingers and toes and about 4 more showers to get the rest of the grime off my body. Thank you to Zaide and Baba for watching the girls!

Maddie: mama I have a surprise for you on your bedside table

Me: oh really?

Maddie: Yup. It's going to make your heart so happy. Close your eyes.

Me: Mads, I love it. Thank you so much.

Maddie: Is your heart happy?

Me: how could it not be?
