Madeline and I had a YES night. Turns out saying yes to everything is kind of fun.

family reunion / allie's party
Allie, I apologize in advance...this was not a well documented event. Regardless, you had fun, got to meet your second and third cousins from Canada, and enjoyed a DELICIOUS ice cream cake.

The big six
About 2.5 seconds ago you were a brand new baby, quickly earning the nickname "pal". You very quickly showed us your precocious attitude, cunning ways and evil cackle. You are a quick-witted, opinionated, passionate little girl. You are learning to read chapter books, challenging yourself and pushing past boundaries of what you have always known. Every day you bless me with the most beautiful and unexpected gift, I get to watch you blossom a little bit more. Change is tough, for you and for me, but we continue to evolve and it turns out that even when the words change, the boundaries change, the chore chart changes, our love story stays the same. Happy 6th birthday baby girl.

Last day of horse camp
The girls got to put on a show, paint their horses, braid their hair and and now they are both officially hooked. I tried to get Maddie to watch National Velvet with me tonight. I remember loving that movie. Not interested. What she is interested in is riding fast, learning how to jump, and moving into a horse barn ASAP.
I told her no more
I cracked my chin open twice. Once to save a dog. No joke. Except he was fine without my help and I still am not to be trusted on a bike... Allie is now on chin crack number two. I've informed her she can't beat me so we are officially done having her chin glued. Yay!

Horse Camp
Nonna hooked the girls up with a week of horse camp. Allie had a lot of trepidation but ended up loving it. Maddie was in heaven, of course. That girl is an animal whisperer.
