Our (never ending) yard project

Yay! Finally getting the driveway out of our backyard

Making a level area for Madeline's play set

Terracing the yard. We had SOO much dirt.

This pile of rocks = ten tons. We now have 25 tons sitting in our yard.

Let me tell you, this guy was helpful!

And so was she! We loved watching the machinery but, "mama, no tuk" (no truck-our U-haul experience from 2 weeks ago has apparently scarred her for life. No, nothing happened. She just doesn't like trucks for whatever reason)

Instead of bark we opted for pea-gravel.

Probably the cutest two pictures I've ever taken of these two.

Okay, Zaide, Baba and Nonna showed up Sunday morning to help put together our "Rainbow" System. This is step one.

This is also step one.

My dad showed up around 1:00 or so. We are now on step two at this point.

By 4:30 we made it to step 9. Anyone want to come over on Wednesday and help finish? Bob knows how to read the directions now so it should go faster :-)

White trash baby

No clothes.

Dad couldn't resist putting the slide up for Madeline to play on.

The dirtiest baby of all time

Thank you so much everyone for all of your help today!!!

Viet Wah?!

Madeline is quite the little helper in the kitchen. Maybe I should write "helper"? Today we went to Viet Wah grocery store on MLK to get some authentic stir fry making stuff.

I decided to drag a chair into the kitchen b/c this girl was DYING to help do something...

The green stuff is Chinese Broccoli. It was really good!

Tofu

Helping evolved into eating...

Chinese Spinach and Onions

Dancing with dad post-meal.

Mother's Day

At Marymoor Dog Park with Dada, Zaide, Rudy and Rudder

What a great park!

Out on Chris' boat we had a fancy meal at Kid Valley

It was so cozy sitting in the back of the boat!

Nonna was kind enough to hold Maddie despite the poo poo in her pants. Jamie dry heaved the whole way up the lake. We're a special family.

For Sale: Bubble Maker

Just Kidding. What would Madeline and Rudder do with their day?

What's wrong with this picture?

Don't call Seattle City Light to find out, and doubly don't call if you've recently stocked up on food from Costco. If you do call and they come out not only will they not fix the problem they'll turn off your power until you get an electrician out to fix it. Oh the joys of this remodel...

My Oh My...was it a LONG game

We went to our first All Star Club game of the year on 5.3.09. Tons of fun. Madeline was very well behaved but by the 12th inning was in need of a nap. After the A's hit two home runs I figured the game was over so I started slowly walking to the car with Madeline...Kip does not leave early. Well, he proved his point because the game went 15 innings!! Fortunately five minutes after buckling Madeline up she was passed out in her carseat. Kip showed up to the garage totally surprised that I was still there. Am I that mean?

RATS!

Kip's truck broke down about a month ago. My brother Chris kindly offered to help him fix it. While Kip was under the truck he heard Chris, who was unscrewing spark plugs, scream. Thinking he had hurt himself Kip went to see what had happened. As Madeline would say, "poooor rat." Apparently he picked a bad time and place to get warm.

We made it out of the 12th percent!

Finally, we're in the 30%!! Madeline grew a lot between her last appointment in November and her two year check-up. Almost a full three inches! Still a peanut though!

Another Cell Phone Post

But seriously the cutest flower girl you've ever seen. (I had to bribe with jelly beans to get the dress and flower crown on but hey, what's a little sugar?)
