Allie woke up at 530 to help me throw Rudder's ball. I'm sure our neighbors love us. And Maddie's mastered the black diamond!

A treasure trove
Seriously, the girls LOVE to visit Kathi's house. Always so much to learn, play with and *always* something yummy to eat. Allie made herself quite at home, asking a million questions, running around upstairs and pulling down stuffing all over the place and inhaling a few freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Maddie held back for awhile but soon found the fabric stash and dog treats. Thank you Kathi for the wonderful treats.

Keeping it real
Allie, what a charmer you've been. So far this morning you've freaked out because you wanted macaroni and cheese for breakfast but then insisted there was salt on it. There wasn't. That resulted in a full blown body on the floor tantrum. Then you wanted an apple. I happily obliged and cut up an entire apple. It wasn't enough. Until I told you I had cut up the whole thing. And then it was too much. Then you wanted yogurt and cereal. But I didn't mix the yogurt into the cereal enough. Nor did I get you a brand new spoon or a napkin. Phew. Life is rough when you're three.

Show & Tell
Maddie brought in Eggs and feathers to show her class. 2/3 eggs survived and now she's dying to bring in a chicken...which means I get to touch one.

First day of bouldering class
Maddie was freaked out about whether the teacher was male or female...of course he was a he. Allie wanted to eat her post-climb treat as soon as we arrived. Neither would play the warmup game of red light/green light. Now they're both having a ball.

Eat your veggies
In order to get dessert the girls have to eat some veggies with dinner. Allie amazingly ate hers tonight with no crying, no coercing, no nothing.
AMAZING I tell ya.

Christmas this year started about 11:00 PM when Maddie came into my room ready to see if Santa had arrived. I convinced it that it was still the middle of the night and that he hadn't yet made it to our house and that she had to go back to bed if she wanted him to come. It didn't take much convincing fortunately. Back for take two around 6:00 AM we waited for Nonna, Pofo, Aunt Jamie and Aunt Sonja to arrive and boy did those girls cash in. They are very lucky and very loved.
