Sunny days

Birthdays

March is the birthday month round these parts. We celebrated Uncle Sam's and Uncle Chris' birthdays on Friday night.

Aunt Jamie

Took the girls to the driving range today while I worked. They both had a lot of questions:

Jamie What does theoretically mean?

Do you know how to get to your house from here?

How do you know your neighborhood?
Why are we going golf coursing?

Last time I went golf coursing we made sushi. It was a great day. Are we making sushi?

Allie: last time we had sushi, Maddie didn't eat all her sushi. We bought it at Costco.

How big is your slide at your park?

What does relatively big mean?

BUT they both had a blast. And apparently uncle Matt can THROW the ball 30 yards.

How-to books

Maddie's class has been working on writing non-fiction books. I found Maddie's book the other day, how to build blocks, and thought it was pretty cute. I am surprised she didn't write about her chickens...something tells me that book is in the works.

Light rail adventure

Street gang

Watch out people...Maddie's on two wheels and is staying mostly upright and Allie has figured out how to pedal, as long as it's 100% flat---any slope and you're safe because she's not moving.

Blue eyes

Fun

Until her fingers knock over previously placed beads.

Girly girl

Yet she's taken to digging worms out of the garden and seems to love the chickens even more than Maddie. We had quite the standoff the other night. It had been dark for awhile and Allie did not want to come out of the coop.

When a three year old is your "master"

Dog park

We were too early for school and too late to go back home after running an errand this morning so Rudder got a trip to the dog park. I don't know what it is but I do not like dog parks. In theory they're awesome. My reality is more of a pee and poop covered gravel pit with a bunch of freak dog owners. Both girls crawled all over the logs to show me their balance. I mostly imagined all of the pee they were covering themselves with. But hey, they had fun so that's all that matters...right?
