Swimming, Ear "peering" and some old b-day pics

We are in diving class again.  Although the  line up to the diving board is mostly  fake out.  She will jump off of it but has decided  that diving off of it  is no longer an option. 

Allie has been begging to get her ears pierced (peered) so we finally bit the bullet and went.  They  do one at a time so I was pretty  nervous that we'd leave with one hole.   She toughed it out.  Anything for the belle earrings she's  been dying to get... Maddie was really supportive.  I love watching her reactions.  

And finally, after dinner, I took them to a super lame park that they were not at all excited to be at. But we made the most of it.  And then went home to bed.

I just found a bunch of birthday pictures on my camera so I'll have to sort through those and get the rest of  them  posted.

Weekend Haps

On Friday we went to gas works park to check out the "Obliteride" (cancer bike ride) party since aunt Sonja was racing in it (she and zach won)

We got some yummy food cooked by Tom Douglas and saw Michael Franti perform. 

Allie took an awesome two hour nap on Saturday. Friday night proved to be a but too late for her. 

But after the nap we swam with friends

And then walked to Siri's birthday party. 

And today we drove to Mt. Vernon for a family BBQ where Maddie found this old picture of me. Only a few more weeks until school starts! How did this happen???

Spotted

Maddie loves leaving little notes all over the house. These two were from Nonna. 

All in a day

We started with a little princess archery 

And soon moved on to picking berries

And lucky us, Nonna baked an awesome pie with the girls. And we left it at her house. 

And then we spent 40 minutes hanging with the goats

And I had to pry this one away. But we are going to go back. Maddie and the goat keeper were instant pals. Shocked?

Getting Allie to eat her veggies is always a chore. But she LOVES her dessert. Sort of. She normally nibbles a bit and then is over it. Tonight Rudder lucked out. 

Diver
