Every Sunday in the summer we have made a tradition of swimming over to Mercer Island. With the weather the way it has been we have yet to do it. Last Monday with temps in the 90s we finally made the plunge and swam from Island Dr. on over to Mercer Island. It's one mile. Maddie played lifeguard and kept insisting Kip stay closer to the boat and Allie actually fell asleep on Chris' lap. After burning off those calories we decided what better idea than to go and consume some greasy fast food at Coulon beach. Maddie was in heaven running around with another little kid and getting to drive the boat home. Allie was happy muching on some kid valley apple slices and didn't protest wearing her life jacket at all.

sounds like an adventure! Hope the water wasn't too cold. And the girls are darling, as usual.
what a fun day, hope Mads was not to pooped from her parading.
I want to see parade pix, did you take any Zaids? How did the girls feel about the (scary) pirates?
